Get out of bed on Sunday morning for RS2…
If you’re in S1 & S2, RS2 is the event for you to attend on a Sunday morning. It’s part of St Mungo’s morning service, so we meet at the High School at 10.30 for some worship, but then we head over to the Ladycroft building just before 11. This means we can make a bit more noise well away from the adults.
RS2 is an exciting, interactive, lively, noisy, fun way to look at the bible and think about Jesus. A typical morning at RS2 might include any of the following: chocolate biscuits, crowns, bibles, a water pistol, testimony, music, prayer, dvd, a wig, stories, games... Through all these things and more, you’ll get a chance to think about how to become and live as a Christian.
At RS2 delve into the bible and discover God and who he is. We look at some of the radical things Jesus says, and work out how they apply to us at school, with our friends, at home with our families… basically in whatever situation we face.
One of the great things about RS2 is that you’ll get to hear about how other people get on living as a Christian, and you might also want to share some stories to encourage other people. You’ll hear a lot from the (pretty cool) RS2 team leaders about what God has done in their lives- all of them have some exciting stories up their sleeves about the amazing things God has done, so it’s worth asking... They’re also totally up for you asking them questions about the bible, God & Jesus… as well as their favourite band, food, and yes, even t favourite flavour of raw jelly (if you’re really that interested!).
Final thing to mention, is that you will probably hear from God at some point during the morning, because he usually turns up. Pretty cool huh?

This term:
We started the term by looking at a pretty major topic- the Trinity. Our focus was not on trying to understand the concept but meet the 3 persons who make it up. For the rest of the term, we’ll be looking at developing good HABITS to help us draw closer to God and deepen our relationship with Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
